Bio

Atif Mirza, SM ‘07 is the captain for the Internet of Things (IoT) panel at the MIT Sloan CIO Symposium, focused on assembling a world-class team of thought leaders, researchers and executives in IoT. He has an interest in bridging the digital divide between old guard, ‘analog’ manufacturing and the internet economy. Atif is an engineer who enjoys the fine art of design/build and is also an enthusiast of contemporary maker culture.

Atif graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Edinburgh, Scotland and a joint masters degree in engineering and management from MIT Sloan in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has worked with the world’s leading companies in strategic, operational and product development roles.
