As a CIO of PegaSystems, Jo Hoppe developed the "living laboratory," in which IT used PegaSystem's own software to automate business processes across the organization. Ultimately, the company productized some of the Business Product Management systems her team developed and engaged Hoppe in developing sales strategies.

IT was transformed from a cost to a revenue center. “The department took pride in the fact that while we were once viewed as overhead, we were now central to the company’s product and sales strategy.”
